Flame retardant properties

Our top product, the SCHÜMER SECAN® range, consists of skin-friendly cotton and is characterised by optimum protection against heat and fire. This high-tech fabric, which is used in the steel industry, the metalworking industry and the petrochemical industry, is permanently flame-retardant as a result of a demanding production process.

Protect protective fabrics

The level of protection remains even after 50 industrial washings at up to 95°C. A prerequisite for this is the adherence to the washing and care instructions. The protective effect can be overlaid or reduced by accumulation of detergent residues or impurities with flammable substances. As a result, clothing may not perform its protective function adequately. Therefore, following correct laundry or cleaning instructions are of particular importance.
